New Funding Search Tool for Researchers

Northwestern University’s Office for Research has recently purchased a subscription to SciVal Funding, an innovative web-based tool that helps researchers find new sponsored funding opportunities and gain inside intelligence to improve the chances for award success.

With minimal information required, SciVal can provide targeted funding alerts based on an investigator’s profile and their funding history. SciVal also helps researchers answer questions about which funding opportunities are most relevant, which awards are worth pursuing, which research projects were awarded in the past, and how to stay up-to-date on new and emerging grants. SciVal presents researchers with a list of possible sponsored funding opportunities, rated by relevance, and automatically updates the list with new opportunities that can be automatically emailed to the researcher.

Access to SciVal is free, and McCormick research administrators are available to help faculty members use the system.
