Master of Science in Electrical Engineering

The master of science in electrical engineering program provides students with the flexibility to specialize in different aspects of the field of electrical engineering. Students in the program work closely with faculty members in the department who are leaders in the field.

Students who earn the master of science in electrical engineering gain a competitive edge over their peers, working in fields such as system design and specification; university teaching and research; sales; cost analysis; management; component design, research, and development; and consulting, production, and quality control.

Admissions

At least 12 courses of graduate study are required to earn the master of science in electrical engineering. Once admitted, students work with their adviser to select one of three programs of study. Students can select the thesis, project, or course option.
