Research Interests

Jorge Moraleda's research interests are in the areas of algorithms, data structures, and software architecture, with a focus on high scalability and concurrency. He is Senior Scientist at Ricoh Innovations Corporation, where he researches crowd-based mobile phone sensor fusion, and leads the team that develops the Ricoh Visual Search engine that powers the Ocutag(TM) platform. Earlier, as DecisionQ's co-founder and Chief Scientist, he led the team that developed their proprietary predictive analytics tool, and his team at Pathwork Informatics designed the first micro array-based assay cleared by the FDA for clinical use.

Selected Publications

Moraleda has published extensively, and he was the winner of the Best Industrial paper award in ICPR-2010, and Best Presentation Award in Hotmobile 2010. Moraleda is an inventor in over 26 US patents.
