Professor David Chopp Receives T. William Heyck Award

On June 6, 2017 Professor David Chopp received the T. William Heyck Faculty Fellow Award for exemplifying the tenets of inclusivity and community encouraged by the Residential College Board through his mentoring of, and educational commitments to, the Ayers Residential College community. In nominating Professor Chopp, the Ayers College of Commerce and Industry Executive Board noted that Professor Chopp “distinguished himself beyond the expectations set before him.” He helped to ease the transition of the executive board, gave regular insightful and compelling “fireside” lectures and talks, promoted a sense of community through his demeanor and way of engaging others, and fostered inclusivity by encouraging discussion amongst all residents. Congratulations, Professor Chopp.
