ESAM Welcomes New Faculty Member, Dr. Madhav Mani

Please join us in welcoming Professor Madhav Mani to the Applied Mathematics Department. Professor Mani's research encompasses mathematical modeling of organismal development, particularly in the area of morphogenesis. Specifically, his work explores how mechanical stresses, biological signals and other processes define the shape of organisms. Understanding such processes can have direct medical applications in cancerous tumor formation and the development of treatment strategies.

Mani was a recent recipient of a Simons Postdoctoral Fellowship and holds advanced degrees from both Harvard and Cambridge Universities.
