About the Cast and Crew

John Gawlik (Director)  

John Gawlik is an Actor’s Equity Association actor/director who has appeared with or helmed productions for many Chicagoland companies. Recently he performed in The Lonesome West with the Gift Theatre. Recent directing credits include Around the World in 80 Days, Over the Tavern and Red Herring for Fox Valley Rep. Additional directing credits include The Ruby Sunrise for the Gift Theatre Company, which was named one of the top 10 shows of 2009 by TimeOut Chicago Magazine and was remounted in July 2010 at Theater on the Lake; A Christmas Story for Noble Fool Theatricals; the Jeff Award-nominated production of W;t for the Gift Theatre and Dated: A Cautionary Tale for Facebook Users for Collaboraction’s Sketchbook Festival, for which he was named the festival’s best director. As an actor, some of John's favorite productions include Beauty Queen of Lennane with the Gift Theatre, A Skull in Connemara at Northlight (receiving an After Dark Award for Ensemble), The Great Society with Famous Door, and The Life and Times of Tulsa Lovechild with Collaboraction (receiving a Jeff Award for Ensemble), and the world premiere of Rosemary with Prop Theater. John is the Artistic Director of Fox Valley Rep and an ensemble member of the Gift Theatre. Television, commercials and voiceovers include Officer Collins on ER, Dennis Carr for Planters Peanuts, Casio, Navy Pier, Uniball, Sears, Chicago Sun-Times, Caterpillar and the voice of Bruno Battaglia for Midway Games Blitz the League video game.



James Saito (Salter)

James Saito has appeared on Broadway in Golden Child and The King and I and in numerous off-Broadway and regional theater productions. He won an Obie Award for his performance in the Public Theater’s Durango and has appeared in productions at Playwrights Horizons, Roundabout, Vineyard, EST, the Edinburgh International Festival, the Kennedy Center, Williamstown Theatre Festival, the Guthrie, Mark Taper Forum, Long Wharf, Seattle Repertory, ACT, NAATCO, Singapore Repertory, Arena Stage, and The Play Co.  His film and television credits include Too Big To Fail, Blue Bloods, Rubicon, Eli Stone, on which he was a series regular, The Unit, From The Rough, I Think I Love My Wife, Robot Stories, Pearl Harbor, The Thomas Crown Affair, Henry Fool, Home Alone 3, The Devil’s Advocate, Die Hard 3, Third Watch, 100 Centre Street, Sex and the City, Law and Order, Law and Order Criminal Intent, New York Undercover, Star Trek Voyager and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.



Jon Norman Schneider (Bernard 1, Bernard 2, Michael Black)

Jon Norman Schneider was recently seen in A. Rey Pamatmat's Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them at Actors Theatre of Louisville/Humana Festival. New York credits include Queens Boulevard (the musical) (Signature), Durango (Public), Ching Chong Chinaman (Pan Asian Rep), A Play on War, and Blind Mouth Singing (NAATCO), among others. Regionally, he has worked at Long Wharf Theatre, Barrington Stage Company, Magic Theatre, and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Selected TV and film credits include The Electric Company, 30 Rock, Law & Order: Criminal IntentThe Normals (upcoming), Last NightThe Rebound, and HBO's Angel Rodriguez opposite Rachel Griffiths. Jon holds a BFA from New York University.
