Darren Gergle Inducted into ACM SIGCHI Academy

Darren Gergle has been elected to the Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on Computer–Human Interaction (SIGCHI) Academy Class of 2026.

Gergle is the Bao Family Professor of Human-Computer Interaction in the Department of Communication Studies at Northwestern’s School of Communication and (by courtesy) in the Department of Computer Science at Northwestern Engineering.

Gergle is a codirector of the Northwestern University Center for Human-Computer Interaction + Design (HCI+D)—a collaboration between the McCormick School of Engineering and the School of Communication.
