Rotta Loria, Louis Berger Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, was cited for his groundbreaking research linking underground climate change to the shifting ground beneath urban areas. The study, which published in July and made international headlines, exploring how city buildings were not designed to handle rising temperatures.
