Gautam graduated from PES University Bangalore in 2020 with a Bachelor in Technology in Computer Science with a specialization in Data Science. Prior to studying at Northwestern, he was a Software Engineer with Société Générale. Here he was tasked with building data pipelines, performing ETL (extract, transform, and load) operations and maintaining data warehouses for the bank's BRBD (Base of Reporting for Retail Banking) department. Gautam also worked with Play Games 24X7 an online gaming company as a Data Science Intern. Here he developed a marketing framework to analyze the performance of the company's advertisements on various digital platforms. He also developed an email classifier whose objective was to categorize emails based on the customer's intent and take customized actions based on the email category. Gautam's experience in working with Big Data technologies and interest in Artificial Intelligence has created a deep interest in building scalable, efficient and robust intelligent systems that can push the frontiers of what is possible.
