James graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. Prior to enrolling at Northwestern, his technical experiences included designing computer vision tools for earthquake research and professional experiences in electronics production at BAE Systems and mechatronics at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. His interests are in robotic perception, navigation, and controls, and he loves creative and novel applications for robotics and autonomy.
