MPM/EMDC Statement on 2017 Natural Disasters

The devastation caused by hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria and the earthquakes in Mexico has created tremendous pain and hardship for the people of the Gulf Coast, Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Dominica, St. Martin, Barbuda, Mexico, and throughout the Caribbean. We know these catastrophic events will affect communities for years to come as people struggle to rebuild and restore what was lost.

The MPM program faculty and staff are deeply saddened to learn of the loss of life and devastation from these events and we send our thoughts and prayers to our many alumni, their family and friends, and all those whose lives have been impacted. We join with people and organizations across the globe and encourage MPM students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends to support the ongoing relief efforts. One credible source for donations is Charity Navigator, which offers information about different organizations and ways to contribute.
