Title: Machines as Creative Partners
Abstract
Can machines be creative? If so, can they help us in our creative endeavours? This talk discusses new results and opportunities for human-machine creative collaboration. After a brief introduction to Computational Creativity, we will introduce ALYSIA, an AI-based system that allows everyone to engage in the art of songwriting, through collaboration on the creation of original lyrics, melodies, and vocals. Different types of human-machine creative collaborations will be presented and discussed, including brain-controlled musical creation enabled through EEG technology.
