This is the opening salvo in what promises to be a lively conversation – not just among engineering students and technical professionals, but anyone interested in taking on the world’s most complex problems.

The McCormick School at Northwestern, and the MEM program in particular, is dedicated to developing and supporting the next generation of technical leaders. Which brings us to this blog. In the shared belief that collaboration is essential to innovation, this community will be dedicated to sharing news, articles of interest and updates on projects our students, alums and friends are passionately involved in.

We will welcome commentary  — irreverent and otherwise — on matters great and small, and invite you to mix it up and share these posts with anyone who might benefit or contribute insights and opinions. As we broaden our circle, we expect to raise awareness of our community, and the pivotal role McCormick people are playing in the multifarious arena that is the 21st Century.  Let the games begin.
