EECS Ph.D. Student Vala Fathipour Receives Best Student Paper Award & Student Travel Grant at SPIE Optics + Photonics 2014

EECS Ph.D. Student Vala Fathipour has been awarded the 2014 Best Student Paper Award at SPIE Optics + Photonics 2014, held August 17-21 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA. Additionally, she was also awarded an SPIE Student Travel Grant in the amount of $200 to present her award winning paper, titled, "Approaching high temperature photon counting with electron-injection detectors."
