Microsoft Research PhD Fellowship

Microsoft Graduate Women's Scholarship

Eligibility
First year female Ph.D. students only. Cannot have already completed any graduate-level coursework prior to their first year in CS. $15K stipend.
Microsoft allows CS to nominate 3 students. Microsoft selects about 10 students each year.
IBM PhD Fellowship
Due: 3rd Week of Sept
IBM allows each unit in CS to nominate 2 students. Nominations for the annual Ph.D. Fellowship program begin the 3rd week of September and are accepted for 5 weeks. Notification of nominee status takes place in February of the following year.

Ph.D. students who have completed at least one year of study in their doctoral program.
Global Health Corps

Eligibility
Mobilizing a global community of emerging leaders to build the movement for health equity. They place talented individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds in paid, high-impact roles in NGOs and government agencies in sub-Saharan Africa and the U.S. During the fellowship year, fellows collaborate, innovate, and create sustainable and impactful change. Applicants from a broad range of sectors and disciplines can apply for up to three positions that match their interests and skills from project management to monitoring and evaluation, engineering, communication and more. Soros Fellowships for New Americans

A New American (a green card holder or naturalized citizen if born abroad; a child of naturalized citizens if born in this country). Not yet 31 years old as of the application date. Benefits: Two years graduate study in any field. Each award is for up to $25,000 in maintenance grants and up to $20,000 in tuition and fees or 50% of required tuition and fees/year.

Emerson National Hunger Fellows Program

A social justice program that trains, inspires, and sustains leaders. Fellows gain field experience fighting hunger and poverty through internships in community-based organizations throughout the U.S., and through internships in Washington, D.C.
Projects for Peace

Offers a $10,000 grant for a summer project with a nonprofit focused on some dimension of enabling peace in a global world. At Northwestern, the Buffet Center and the Office of Fellowships work together to facilitate the grant process. First-year students, sophomores, and juniors are eligible. Founder Region Fellowship

Eligibility
Women who are advanced to candidacy and in the final two years of their doctoral program. Priority is given to students entering into the last year of their doctoral programs. Benefits: Fellowships of a minimum of $20,000 are awarded each year to female graduate students at universities within the boundaries of the region.
James H. Dunn, Jr. Memorial Fellowship

DAAD RISE Pro

Offers summer research internships in Germany to master’s and Ph.D. students from North America at companies and non-university research institutions with strong relations to industry. The program is open to students in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, engineering, or a closely related field. DAAD Undergraduate Scholarship

Supports study, senior thesis research, and/or internships in Germany. The goal of this program is to support study abroad in Germany and at German universities. DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellowship

Google PhD Fellowship*

Google allows Berkeley to nominate two students. Other departments on campus nominate as well.
Eligibility
Full-time graduate students pursuing a PhD in the research areas represented by the fellowships. Must have completed classes by the time the fellowship starts. Cannot already have another fellowship.

Intel Ph.D. Fellowship*

Intel allows CS to nominate up to 5 students.
Eligibility
Ph.D. students within 18 months of graduation. Thesis topic defined and approved. Must have permanent unrestricted right to work in U.S. Not open to students from embargoed or controlled countries (e.g., Iran, China, Russia, Ukraine). India OK.

William J. Clinton Fellowship for Service in India

Eligibility
Ais a 10-month leadership fellowship that pairs a select number of young professionals with credible NGOs and social enterprises in India in order to accelerate impact and create effective projects, with are replicable, scalable, and sustainable. Applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 34 and have completed an undergraduate degree. AIF provides a round trip ticket to India, insurance coverage, and a monthly stipend to each Fellow. The Killam Fellowship

Eligibility
Provides an opportunity for a U.S. undergraduate to spend either one semester or a full academic year as an exchange student in Canada. Students may participate in the program either as a direct exchange student or as a self-placed visiting student. All Killam Fellows are also eligible to apply for a mobility (in country travel) grant. The mobility initiative allows students to undertake an educational field trip, providing the Fellows with the opportunity to gain a fuller understanding of the culture in Canada. Boren Scholarships

Provide funding opportunities for U.S. undergraduate students to study less commonly taught languages in world regions critical to U.S. interests and underrepresented in study abroad, including Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East. The countries of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are excluded. Boren Scholars represent a vital pool of highly motivated individuals who wish to work in the federal national security arena, broadly defined. Supports students for a full year studying and interning in Germany at universities of applied sciences. Two new programs offer shorter-term study and internship opportunities of 2-6 months. Beinecke Scholarship

The Beinecke awards $34,000 to 20 juniors (or students in year 4 of a 5-year program) nationwide for a graduate degree in the humanities, arts, or social sciences. The Associates Home Loan Scholarship
Due: March 31
Eligibility
High school students graduating in 2018 that have been accepted into a college, university, or trade school. Students currently enrolled in a college, university, or trade school that have not yet reached their final year. The Associates Home Loan Scholarship was created with our future leaders in mind. Associates Home Loan understands that college prices are rising every year and this scholarship serves the purpose of helping one student lower their tuition expenses by $1000 and to educate the future self employed individuals about their options when it comes to self employed loans and alternative credit options. Applicants will be required to answer a simple question in the form of a 500-word essay and the winner will be selected based on the essay submitted. The Associate Home Loan Scholarship committee will select a winner by the end of April 2019. The $1000 will be sent directly to the winner’s school financial aid department. Associates Home Loan wants to hear your answer to this question, "What does your dream house look like?" Don’t hold back on details. This should be a short essay of no more than 500 words.
ACM SIGHPC/Intel Computational & Data Science Fellowships

Eligibility
ACM SIGHPC and Intel are excited to announce a new international program of graduate fellowships, beginning in 2016. The goal is to increase the diversity of students pursuing graduate degrees in data science and computational science, including women as well as students from racial/ethnic backgrounds that have not traditionally participated in the computing field. The program will support students pursuing degrees at institutions anywhere in the world. Each fellowship recipient will receive a stipend prior to the start of their first academic term after August 1. The value of the stipend will be US$15,000 annually.
Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship

As a prestigious college within Peking University, the Yenching Academy prepares a diverse group of international and Chinese students to tackle the most challenging issues facing the world.
