Dr. Li-Qun Zhang Named Clifford C. Raisbeck, MD, Professor of Orthopedic Surgery

Dr. Li-Qun Zhang, an affiliated faculty member of Biomedical Engineering Department, has been named the Clifford C. Raisbeck, MD, Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Zhang received PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University in 1990. He has made significant contributions to understanding the pathogenesis of knee injury, spasticity, and motor impairment as well as to the development of innovative devices for rehabilitation.

Dr. Clifford C. Raisbeck, who endowed the Clifford C. Raisbeck, MD, Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, received both bachelor of science and medical degrees from Northwestern University. Through this endowment, Dr. Raisbeck intends to sustain excellent education and research programs in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and support the work of a promising faculty member.
