BME 395: Introduction to Drug Delivery

Drug delivery is a multidisciplinary field that aims to modify the exposure of the drug to the patient using engineering and materials science. Drug delivery allows the potential of reducing toxicity, increasing efficacy, and improved use. This course is a lecture-based and lab-based class. We will introduce the students to the fundamental interactions of drugs and drug delivery systems that have been engineered to treat and prevent a variety of diseases
