Vishal likes to think of himself as a cognitive computing enthusiast with a vision of developing intelligent systems beyond the parochial notions of “intelligence”... While pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering, he got an opportunity to build his foundations in data structures & algorithms, linear algebra, multivariate calculus, statistics, computer architectures, theories of computation, distributed systems, and soft computing.

Vishal's current research interest lies in "distributed knowledge representation and interactive learning with privacy preservation in stochastic multi-agent environments". Other key interests include: artificial life, nature-inspired architectures & algorithms, machine and deep learning theories, natural language processing, computer vision, generative modeling, transformers, computational complexity theories, cognitive modeling, decision theories, and quantum cognition.

After graduating with the MSAI degree from Northwestern University, Vishal wants to work as an AI architect/researcher to design and build solutions that will drive the change in our society.
