ES_APPM 495: Special Topics: Introduction to Network Science

Description

This course will provide a brief introduction to the study of complex networks, with applications drawn from physics, biology, and the social sciences.  Topics to be covered include weights, degree distributions, clustering, shortest paths, centrality, small-world networks, random networks, community structure, and dynamics.

Prerequisites: Calculus, programming experience.
