Leadership / Leadership ProfilesEric J. Perreault
Associate Dean for Research Administration and Oversight
Eric Perreault nurtures the McCormick School of Engineering’s research enterprise, including coordination with Northwestern’s Office for Research, McCormick research computing, and external collaborations. He has oversight over research administration and safety.
Perreault’s research focuses on the neural and biomechanical factors involved in the control of movement and posture. The goal is to provide a scientific basis for understanding normal and pathological motor control that can be used to guide rehabilitative strategies for restoring function to individuals with motor deficits.
Perreault earned his BEng and MEng degrees in electrical engineering from McGill University and a PhD in biomedical engineering from Case Western Reserve University. He previously served as the Chair of Biomedical Engineering.
