Prof. Zdeněk Bažant to be honored with Austrian Cross of Honor for Science and Art

Due to his extraordinary achievements in science, Prof. Zdeněk Bažant will be honored on May 11, 2016 with the Austrian Cross of Honor for Science and Art of the 1^st Class (Österreichisches Ehrenkreuz für Wissenschaft und Kunst, I. Klasse), a distinguished and visible decoration.

The award will be granted by the President of Austria, Heinz Fischer, in Hofburg (the Imperial Palace of Austria).
