Weilin spent four years as an undergraduate student at Pennsylvania State University, and received the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in May 2017.

As a mechanical engineering student, Weilin spent his sixth semester at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, as an exchange student in Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering). During his time in Germany, he had a great opportunity to take many courses in Machine Dynamics, Machine Design, and Robotics.

In his junior and senior years at Pennsylvania State University, Weilin was involved major projects that included designing with CAD, machining in the learning factory with all kinds of power tools, and working stations.

Weilin has also joined the Advanced Vehicle Team at Pennsylvania State University and participated in the EcoCAR3 Competition sponsored by General Motors.

The experience at Master of Science in Robotics program at Northwestern University is the next step for Weilin to get closer to his dream career in robotics.
