Chukwunyere is currently a student in the Master of Science in Robotics program at Northwestern University. Born in Port Harcourt Nigeria, he received his B.Sc in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from the University of Lagos.

Chukwunyere has experience in the oil and gas industry having worked at both Shell and Halliburton. He was a secondary school teacher for a year after completing college where he taught courses in basic technology and physics. During his undergraduate studies he ran an entertainment company, and after graduation he proceeded to co-found a company that makes low cost educational tablets.

His long-term goal is to start a company that uses robotics to solve major problems in Nigeria and, by extension, the world. His short term plan is to use robotics to solve the problem of oil bunkering in the Niger Delta which results in 30,000 to 300,000 barrels of oil being stolen daily.
