David Kosnik named McCormick STAR Award Winner

David Kosnik, research engineer with the Infrastructure Technology Institute (ITI) at McCormick, was recently named the winter STAR award winner at a McCormick staff recognition event.

The STAR award, which stands for Staff Team Appreciation and Recognition award, is given quarterly to a McCormick staff member who demonstrates leadership and goes above and beyond regular job duties. Staff and faculty can nominate potential award winners, and a selection committee recommends a finalist to the dean for selection.

Kosnik was nominated for his exceptional productivity. According to his nomination, Kosnik has developed an expansive skill set that includes everything from system design to database management, and "of particular merit was his teamwork on the continuous remote monitoring system on a CTA bridge in Chicago."
