McCormick Alum Takes Third Place in Northwestern Short Fiction Contest

McCormick alumnus Ying Zhu Chin ('07) recently won third place in Northwestern magazine's short fiction contest for her story "When Starbucks Came." Her story was one of 134 entries submitted by Northwestern alumni and students from around the world. The contest was judged by Stuart Dybek, Distinguished Writer in Residence and visiting English professor at Northwestern.

Chin grew up in Malaysia and is currently at New York University on scholarship, writing her master's thesis toward an interdisciplinary degree in humanities.
