VIDEO: McCormick Campus Centennial Celebration

The McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science celebrated its 100th anniversary at the Centennial Campus Celebration on Oct. 2, 2009.

More than 1,200 faculty, students, staff, alumni, and well-wishers attended the party, which offered free sandwiches, ice cream, and cupcakes, as well as a live jazz band, a photo booth, and a raffle drawing. The event was held in conjunction with the McCormick Student Activities Fair, in which student groups recruited members for the upcoming year.

The event also featured speeches from McCormick Dean Julio Ottino and Northwestern University President Morton Schapiro.

McCormick will continue to celebrate its Centennial throughout the 2009-10 school year at events around the country. For more information:
