Trista Wdziekonski Named McCormick STAR Award Winner

Trista Wdziekonski, associate director for the Master of Science in Information Technology program at McCormick, was recently named the spring STAR Award winner at a McCormick staff recognition event.

The STAR award, which stands for Staff Team Appreciation and Recognition award, is given quarterly to a McCormick staff member who demonstrates leadership and goes above and beyond regular job duties. Staff and faculty can nominate potential award winners, and a selection committee recommends a finalist to the dean for selection.

Wdziekonski was nominated for her effort to increase female applicants to the MSIT program. According to her nomination, “She spent a great deal of time and energy to personally initiate a special event between MSIT and a new organization called WITI, Women in Technology International. The WITI organizer commented that the event was a “wonderful success” and that “Trista is a fabulous facilitator.”
