Elizabeth Foster Named McCormick STAR
Special events manager recognized with quarterly staff award
Elizabeth Foster, manager of special events for McCormick’s Marketing and Communications Office, was recognized with the winter STAR award at a staff recognition event on April 23.
The STAR Award—which stands for Staff Team Appreciation and Recognition—is given quarterly to a McCormick employee who demonstrates leadership and goes above and beyond his or her regular duties.
Foster was cited for her detailed work habits and willingness to go above and beyond.
“Since joining McCormick in 2011, Elizabeth has executed hundreds of successful events for the deans and departments,” the award states. “Elizabeth’s event planning skills include great attention to detail, strong communication, and attention to policy and process. During winter quarter, she organized a visit by the Emerging Markets group at Deloitte for the IEMS faculty. In the spirit of the STAR award, she went above and beyond her daily scope of her work, and at the last minute, she flawlessly coordinated the event logistics and saved the day for this particular event.
Winners of the STAR Award are nominated by fellow staff and faculty members, and a selection committee recommends a finalist to the dean for selection.
