Dean’s Seminar Series Welcomes Siri Founder Dag Kittlaus
Kittlaus to speak on "Siri and Beyond" at 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 13
Dag Kittlaus, co-founder and former CEO of Siri, will speak to the McCormick community at 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 13 as part of the McCormick Dean’s Seminar Series.
In his presentation, “Siri and Beyond,” Kittlaus will tell the story behind the world’s first true virtual personal assistant while sharing his insights on why the future of technology is now and how we need to think bigger.
The talk will be held in the ITW classroom at the Ford Motor Company Engineering Design Center on Northwestern University’s Evanston campus.
Kittlaus co-founded Siri based on research spun out of the Stanford Research Institute. The technology was acquired by Apple in 2010, and Kittlaus went on to become Apple’s director of iPhone apps, running the speech recognition and Siri teams within the company. Previously, Kittlaus managed product groups in Motorola Mobility and Telenor in Norway.
