Recruiting Event Open to Northwestern Students, Alumni

Students, ready your resumes. Recruiters from more than 70 companies are expected to attend Industry Day 2012, a career fair hosted by Northwestern University’s chapter of the Society of Women Engineers.

The event — Northwestern’s largest technical career fair — will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, October 18 at Norris University Center, 1999 Campus Drive, on the Evanston campus.

Space X, The Boeing Company, Ford Motor Company, General Electric, Microsoft, United Airlines, and dozens of other companies will be in attendance. The employers will be seeking interns, co-op employees, and full-time employees for openings around the country.

While the fair is focused on technical positions, there will also be opportunities for non-engineering students.

The event is open only to Northwestern students and alumni — women and men.

Attendees should dress in business attire and bring copies of their resumes. Wildcards will be required for entry to the event. Doors will close at 8:30 p.m.
