IEMS Senior Design Team Earns Honorable Mention for National Award

Winners of the Undergraduate Operations Research Prize were announced last week at the annual meeting of INFORMS (Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences) in Phoenix.

Recent IE graduates Alex Ma, Alex Huang, Sara Schmidt, Nancy Xu, and Brandon Zhang received an honorable mention for their senior design project titled "Integration of Real Time Data in Urban Search and Rescue," completed under the supervision of Prof. Irina Dolinskaya last winter quarter.

Twenty-two nominations were submitted for the award, and the committee awarded one first-place prize and two honorable mentions.  Congratulations team!
