EVENT DETAILS
As genomic medicine programs continue to expand, an important consideration is being able to deliver sufficient and high quality information resources to patients and healthcare providers to aid their comprehension and decision-making. The use of info buttons (context-sensitive links, embedded in an EHR or patient portal) may be able to aid in more effective information retrieval, but only work if the underlying context is properly indexed. While many content management systems exist for local content authoring, few address other needs around appropriate sharing, branding and indexing of information resources. To address these gaps, we have developed DocUBuild DocUBuild provides infrastructure to support: a) authoring content using structured templates, b) making content discoverable through the annotation of documents and individual sections with context elements according to the HL7 infobutton standard, c) sharing content and discovering content authored by other institutions, and d) deploying content in multiple formats in order to meet individual needs.
