Sponsor Faculty Research
More than 1,000 McCormick researchers working in more than 300 labs are pursuing cutting-edge research into the technologies of tomorrow. Collaborating across discipline boundaries and with colleagues in the sciences and medicine, they often develop new innovations that lead to commercial applications. Our world-renowned faculty, graduate students, and post-docs are breaking new ground in key fields including biological and health engineering, materials and nanotechnology, energy and sustainable infrastructure, and analytics and complex systems
Sponsoring and collaborating in research enables companies to get more visibility into the complete path from basic research to the marketplace. Working with graduate students enables companies to identify promising new R&D talent.
Northwestern has recently streamlined the process for companies to collaborate with faculty, sponsor their research, and commercialize the results. Alliance agreements enable companies to initiate new research projects quickly with minimal paperwork. They feature a collaborative governance structure to help ensure success.
