McCormick to Boeing
Alpana Ranade
(PhD Materials Science and Engineering, 2011)
Alpana’s PhD research was supported by a Ford-Boeing-Northwestern University collaboration project in Professor Yip-Wah Chung’s group. Her research focused on the synthesis and characterization of visibly transparent films with enhanced infrared reflectance in order to reduce heat load on vehicles.
During her time at Northwestern, she visited both Ford and Boeing and had a summer internship at Boeing. She now works at Boeing Research & Technology in Seattle.
