Prof. Gianluca Cusatis Awarded ASCE EMI Fellow Membership

Prof. Gianluca Cusatis was awarded ASCE Engineering Mechanics Institute's Fellow membership. The ASCE Engineering Mechanics Institute (EMI) awards Fellow membership to members with a distinguished record of research, accomplishments and service to the Institute and the engineering mechanics community. Prof. Cusatis has been member of EMI since the Institute was established in 2008. He is member of the Computational Mechanics committee and the Modeling Inelasticity and Multi-Scale Behavior. As member of these committees, he has contributed to the organization of several sessions at the annual EMI conferences. In 2013, Cusatis served a chair for the EMI 2013 conference held at Northwestern University. Under his leadership, the conference was recognized by many as a success from both the organizational and scientific point of view. Finally, Cusatis service to EMI culminated in his recent election to the EMI Board of Governors.
