Tuition and Expenses

For the 2015-2016 academic year the Master of Science in Biotechnology tuition is $14,292 per quarter, and the program requires five quarters of full-time enrollment. The total cost is $71,460.

Additional expenses may include housing, health insurance, books, and transportation.

The MBP awards four $20,000 merit scholarships to outstanding domestic and international students. To be eligible, students must have:

  • Undergraduate GPA of at least 3.5/4.0
  • GRE Scores: 70% Verbal (minimum), and 90% Quantitative
  • Other criteria: undergraduate program rank, class rank, leadership and research experience

Early application is advised; scholarships will be awarded beginning in February 2016.

Additional Funding Resources

Though the MBP does not offer research or teaching assistantships, we do offer scholarships of up to $10,000 to domestic students (U.S. citizens or permanent residents) accepted into the program. Early application advised; scholarships are awarded beginning in February 2016.

Students may also defray tuition costs with a paid industrial internship.

All MBP students are eligible for a $750 travel grant to attend conferences and professional development events.

Financial Aid

Students in the MBP program are eligible to apply for financial aid. Prospective students should familiarize themselves with the alternatives for financial aid and contact Student Financial Services with any questions.

Students utilizing financial aid to fund their graduate degree must comply with the Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy to maintain eligibility.
