Lilli Zakarija is the President and CEO of EdgeOne Medical Inc and has over 19 years of experience in the medical device industry. Her expertise includes development and global launch of single-use, disposable medical devices and combination products, and strategic/technical development of device platforms. Throughout her career she has held management roles in engineering and project management, and most recently was Director of Engineering for a global staff of engineers and technicians supporting all device related needs for the BioScience division of Baxter Healthcare.
Ms. Zakarija is 3-time alum of Northwestern and holds a Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering (1995); a Masters in Engineering Management (2001) and an Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (2010).
Bonnie Lai is a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and works across the health care industry serving clients in pharma, med devices, and health insurance. Her projects cover a variety of topics, ranging from strategy, R&D, marketing and sales, organizational effectiveness, and implementation of large transformational programs. Prior to joining BCG, Bonnie received her PhD in biomedical engineering from Duke University. Her dissertation research focused on HIV prevention.
Jenifer is the Founder and Director of Research at Just Right Surgery. She built and managed the Applied Research Group at Valleylab from 1993-97. This team invented the first vessel sealing technology. Her research resulted in the discovery of using RF energy in a controlled fashion to seal blood vessels. This was the first effort in the industry to optimize tissue effect using RF energy. This effort resulted in the IP that has allowed Covidien a nearly competitor-free environment in this arena over the last 13 years.
Jenifer holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado, as well as MS and PhD degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University.
