Arvind holds a Bachelor's degree in Management Studies (specializing in Finance) from the University of Delhi, which he followed up with a post graduate diploma in Applied Statistics from IGNOU. During his coursework, and internships, he focused on using a data-driven approach to inform his decisions, as well as in analytical works falling within his projects.

Arvind is also the co-founder of Fishdeal – one of India's first online aquaria retail company in organised sector from where he has signed off now to pursue his higher studies at Northwestern. But it is at Fishdeal, Arvind practically experienced how data-driven decision-making can transform business operations, and have a significant impact on the bottomline. Using insights from online usage data (from customers), Arvind made informed suggestions to his team towards modifying their marketing strategies, as well as changing how they managed inventory; all of this resulting in cost savings, as well as increased customer engagement that eventually improved sales. Arvind successfully applied this hands-on experience in his internships at other organizations namely Engineers India Ltd, Punjab National Bank and Air India. Arvind utilized data visualizations to communicate his observations effectively, which strengthened his ideology that presenting the results of one's analysis in a format relevant to one's audience, is as important as the analysis itself.

Arvind has experience in working with R, Tableau, advanced Excel, Python. He is passionate to learn advanced machine learning and deep learning during his graduate coursework at Northwestern University. He is looking forward to apply his professional experience, as well as the learnings and other life take aways from the great MSiA program, towards a challenging and illustrious career as a new age data analyst/scientist.
