Matthew graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in May of 2016 with a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering and a certificate in Finance. As an undergraduate, he took upon himself a number of leadership roles before graduating with highest honors. His coursework and senior capstone project with the Centers for Disease taught him the value of analytics, and he decided to pursue the Master of Science in Analytics at Northwestern University.

He has internship experience with the Bunnell Idea Group, McKenney’s Inc. and the Georgia Tech Industrial Engineering Department. With Georgia Tech, he utilized various analytical tools to conduct a comprehensive review of the Industrial Engineering program’s current curriculum.

Matthew is excited about the effectiveness of data science, and he is very eager to learn about the most cutting-edge methodologies in analytics while working towards this degree. The Deep Learning course is one that Matthew is most looking forward to, in order to discover more about the fast-growing research area of neural networks.
