Lynn graduated from UC Berkeley in December 2012 with double degrees in economics and statistics. Lynn is interested in the application of economics in the real world, and has participated extensively in economics projects and internships while at Berkeley. For example, she has utilized her knowledge in international monetary economics and R programming skills to assist Professor Barry Eichengreen in a year-long project related to the Eurozone Debt Crisis. She has also interned at several public policy institutes, such as the Heritage Foundation and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, to perform research and data analysis in areas such as foreign investments, health care, and education.

After graduating from Berkeley, Lynn joined Analysis Group, Inc., an economic, financial, and strategy consulting firm. While at Analysis Group, Lynn has built valuation models, performed statistical analysis, and conducted market analysis to solve business problems for clients from several diverse industries. As a senior analyst, Lynn has effectively coordinated her team members, mentored new analysts, and conducted trainings. Her managers spoke highly of her efficiency and creative approach to problems, while her fellow analysts appreciated her patience and willingness to help.

Through her school projects and professional experiences, Lynn has realized that data plays an important part in economic and business analysis. She has also discovered her strength and interest in working with data. Lynn is looking forward to beginning a systematic study of data in the MSiA program at Northwestern, so as to equip herself with a stronger foundation and more tools to transition into a business intelligence role in her next position.
