Alyssa Everding graduated summa cum laude from Wheaton College in 2015 with a B.S. in mathematics and economics after three years of study. While in college, her summers involved statistical projects at Michigan State University and the University of Pittsburgh.

At Michigan State University, she was involved in a group research project that examined protein-protein interactions in plant membranes. Her next research project was econometrics and examined the relationship between gender and wage. The third project, at University of Pittsburgh, studied Beck Inventory Depression Score and major adverse cardiac arrest. Throughout these projects, Alyssa discovered her passion for data that can lead to solutions to problems in the world.

She is excited to learn more efficient techniques for working with large quantities of data at Northwestern University and to learn the tools necessary to make a difference in the world through examining data.
